Cybersecurity and IT Intern
Part Time, Temporary

The Educational Communications Board is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to join our security and IT teams. Become part of the agency that provides Wisconsin Public Radio, PBS Wisconsin, emergency alerts, and the National Weather Service Radio. As an intern, you will actively contribute to the development and documentation of security procedures, risk management strategies, and cyber analysis. You will also gain hands-on experience through direct collaboration with our Information Technology department. Position Duties
Assist with security procedure documentation and process workflow. Help build and sustain a positive cybersecurity culture. Help coordinate risk management procedures. Assist IT team with upgrades and IT projects. Participate in cyber analytical work.
Requested Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Coding knowledge.
Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
IT troubleshooting skills.
Customer service skills supporting PC end users.
Effective, clear, and accurate written and verbal communications.
Willingness to learn.
Experience in a Microsoft Office 365 environment (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
Knowledge of Windows server or Windows desktops.
Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
Eligibility
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
At least 18 years of age at the time the internship program begins (May 18, 2026).
Currently enrolled in, recently graduated from (fall 2025 or spring 2026), or planning to attend (fall 2026) a 2-year, 4-year, or graduate school.
Living in Wisconsin during the internship program.
